How to get the new Facebook profile
Facebook has started to roll out a new design for user profiles. The new layout emphasizes photos, changes the navigation and gives your bio, education & work and interests a more prominent place.
The new profile is opt-in for now, which means you have to activate it yourself. Keep in mind however that you won’t be able to change back to the old layout once you do this. If you don’t see the option to change to the new Facebook design, here is how you unlock it:
- Go to http://www.facebook.com/about/profile/
- Click on the green button at the top right to activate the new design
- Get a quick introduction to the changes by clicking on the “Start Tour” button on your new profile page
What do you think of the new Facebook design? Love it or hate it? Share your opinion in the comments!

I think the new layout is good for the most part. It would be nice to see your websites on the left hand side of page. Other than that I like the new profile layout.
Thanks Fr.Roderick. For posting this how to article
It’s really helpful
Keep up the great work.
I think this new layout really makes the viewer notice who they are looking at.
The new template forced me to look at some of my profile settings that were wrong. Me, just tossing in anything, only to get Facebook setup to go out and play in the digital realm society.
I had to make right, my place of birth, job position, and contact information.
I like the fact you have control over the images chosen at the top of the profile.
I think the new facebook profile design is nice, but it seems like every so often it gets redesigned.I just wished they would stick with one design.
I really don’t like things to change, once I get used to something I like it to stay that way. This seems interesting though, I’ll get used to it eventually I guess.
